I have to disagree strongly with you here. I have 3 polecat hybrids who smell absolutely no different from my 'just plain ferrets', and their polecat parent is the same. The biting/aggression however is a bit more prevalent, but with time and attention can be improved. See Toffee and Fudge under my photos, these are two of my hybrids, five years old this year, and they are cuddly and safe with the family, but not 100% safe with visitors they don't know.
