Well, there are polecats and then there are polecats...

Some UK and European breeders use the word "polecat" to mean "standard markings".

How the ones back-crossed with actual polecats behave varies. Usually they are strong,
very active and enthusiastic, but some can be aggressive.

One physical appearance which is often seen in ones who are 1/4 to 1/2 wild polecat is a
difference of the "eyebrows". All ferrets have some whiskers there, but the ones who are
largely polecat often have incredibly pronounced ones. I mean strikingly! We had one who
we named Brezhnev after Leonid Ilyich Brezhnev. Take a look at a photo of him and you
will know why.

Marie B. has written a lot about such crossed in Ferret-Genetics:

Brezhnev was very aggressive. She accepted only one person, me, and also did not accept
other ferrets.

That said some possible things that might make more sense for this one have been under
discussion: a possible past of abuse, a retained testicle, being whole in rut, being older
than claimed and having adrenal disease (since a small portion become aggressive), etc.
