Subject: [ferrethealth] Enlarged skin/whisker pore that bleeds?
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Hi folks,
My 3 year old sprite has an enlarged pore(dialated an deeper than
normal - (no redness, no swelling, nolump, etc ) in the whisker area
near the upper part of her nose. It's extemely small, and the only
reason I noice this is because she's albino It simpy looks like a tiny
black pore so I though is was just a plugged pore or dirt. I gave it a
lght scratch with my finger nail, and I found it was a scab, so it
started bleeding. I figure that she got"nailed" by one of her siblings
and didn't think too much about it.

It's been a couple of weeks, and the enlarged pore persists. Does
anyone know what this is? I have an appointment, but it's a couple of
weeks out since it doesn't seem very significant. Howevr, I like to
research thing in advance to be able to discuss treament options if it
turns out to be something hat needs o be addressed.

Many Thanks in advance!
-jennifer (hypochondriac ferret mom from the firey inferno!!!)
