If the 0.25 ml of Pred Is 1 mg/ml then that is a very low dose for most things.
If it is of 2 mg/ml then that is more in the range a person might expect to start trying if this
is insulinoma with a glucose number that very, very low unless there is an outside reason
for the number to be that low.
Was this IN-HOUSE testing or SENT OUT? If sent out then remember that ferret blood
gobbles sugar so delays reduce that number.
Whatever the cause that glucose number has to be gotten up.
The Preds do also help reduce inflammation.
If the liver is at all compromised then be sure to try Prednisolone rather than Prednisone.
To utilize Prednisone the liver has to convert it first to Prednisolone. By skipping the liver
step it can at times be possible to get much more effect. We had one with IBD for whom
Prednisone could have been water given how little effect it had, but Prednisolone was a
great help.
