Really depends on your ferrets age, activity level, whether they
groom a lot, etc as to how often to give it. My vet said giving it
weekly wouldn't hurt at all, so you could give it as often as you
feel necessary. In the beginning I did a three day treatment, waited
two days, then did another three day treatment off and on for a
couple weeks until my kids were cleaned out really well. You will
know because their poops will be markedly larger and will *stay*
large for more than just a day or two.

Then I went to every two weeks that I did a three day treatment. Now
I guess I do it about once a month or so. I kind of just watch the
poops now. In the beginning I did it a lot more than now. It's
really exciting in the beginning when all the fun stuff comes out
LOL. For the first time in the many many years I've had ferrets, I
can finally sleep at night and not worry that somebody is working on
a hairball while I'm sleeping!

If your kids tend to chew fabric, groom a lot, get into everything
every time you turn around, I'd treat them often...if they are older
and don't get into too much trouble, once they get cleaned out pretty
good, it's probably just a matter of keeping up with shedding
seasons...at least that's how it is here.

Let me know how it works for you. I think you'll be surprised at how
quickly and how effectively this stuff works. I was so used to just
not really *seeing* anything really happen with the goopy petroleum
based stuff. This is ia whole different ball game. There truly is
no reason for our kids to have intestinal blockages and hairballs
anymore if we just get used to the idea and get rid of the goop.....
