To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

He was at the vets today to be castrated, The vet although not utterly
up to speed has a reasonable knowledge of ferrets as I have been
taking mine to her for over 8 years and she has built a fair
knowledge. She had a good look in his mouth when he was out and could
find nothing, she also had a feel about his body when he was awake and
unconscious and could find nothing out of the ordinary. He can open
his mouth really wide as he decided to resist the anesthesia and kept
his mouth open to annoy the vet I think!

Everything he does is normal he poop's, puddles and plays like every
other ferret I know of. He isn't grinding his teeth, just smacking his
lips together as if he's just eaten something tasty, maybe it's the
dry mouth?
