Subject: [ferrethealth] lymphoma

hello
We need some help. My little girl Keira had an acsident in a door
around new year. She was cought in a closing door, nobig deal, she
complaind but showed no other problem ( my english is not
perfect ,please just try to understand what I am trying to say)
About a week later she started to be careful about jumping down from
places, as if she hurted someplace, then she stoped using her hind
legs. The vet gave her some anti-inflamatory that he said could only be
used for 4 days otherwise it might cause stomackbleeding,wich it did
after tree days. We stopped the med. and she got better after some
time,but she never showed any intsret in trying to use her hindlegs.
Her 'flatmate' tried to beat her up twice,(he never had any agression
against her before) and this scared her, they have been separated since
then.
X-rays aparently showed she had a broken hip wich the vet ment should
heel well .
She did not,now he has done two new x-rays to be seen by other vets
that meen to have seen some mass in front of her hart in her lung, and
my vet meens this is some form of juvelile lymphoma.
Reading on the net thoug I see juvenile lymphoma strikes motly before
14 months no??
My girl is 3 1/2 years, and I am sceard stiff!!
My vet here is supossed to be the only specialist we have here!!
Now he wants to see her again to see if her lymphnodes are swollen,(I
went through this with my husband 23 years ago, he healed,after a
prognosis of 20% survival)
The vet said if it is lymphoma ,the treatment is not very sucsessful
(and very uncomfortiful( my husband had to endur it for ten months)
IIknow what the answer is ,but I dont want to know.
I need there to be some kind of miracle out there if this is what my
little girl has..
It is not fair to let her go through such a harsh treetment if it is
not a 100% sure she will be healed in the end.
I'm rambeling
I cant help it
This is one clever little girl I still hsve here,I just cant bare the
thought of losing her
