Hello Irene
Thank you so much for writing, there are obviously many out there who
cares thank you everyone.
We are just waiting for the vet to call ,
He had another look at her yesterday and her lymphnodes are
normal, not enlarged ,but she has lost 100g in 20 days and she is a
tiny ferret to start with.
The vet says she has a tumor on the lung wich he meen is metastasis
from the lymphoma . He thinks this has spread to the bones also .
We only found this because he wanted some other vet to have a look
at her for possible surgery in her back. And he did take two other x-
rays wich showed a misplaced disk or trauma in her back.
This vet also says not all lymphomas have enlarged lymphnodes?
I just have to trust him.
23 years ago my husband had lymphoma( Hodkins lymphoma)so I somehow
have been through this before.
It is hard because she has such a wonderful personality ,and we so
much want her to live on with us for many more years.
We have not given up yet , .I have used the Ttuch on her for comfort
and to relive pain and she seems to enjoy that and comes to ask me to
do it sometimes.hes then totaly relacses and falls asleep after a
while. But one feels so helpless,..........
It is good to here your little girl can have treatment and get well
again. With my husband we also often had to wait for the white
bloodcount to rise to continue treatment.
He got well again, after the doctors originally told us he had 20%
chanse of partially recovery. He had a total remission and has had no
more problems since. Thank God.
So one must never give up hope!!
Best regards Keiras mom
