I really hope you're right about lupron on ferrets not losing
effectiveness over time... (I had issues with lupron stopping working
on me, but I was on mega-doses years ago - I suspect the drug may be
better understood and better used today.)

ARe you trying lupron preventively? If so, what "protocol" / treatment
schedule are you using? AT what age i you start? How long? etc.

My ferrets are turning 3 this spring - they are late alters (I spayed
nmy girls when they came into season. I neutered my boys at 2 years
and 1.5 years). I just gave them 3-month Lupron shots.

My plan is to do a 3-month lupron shot each Spring to try to suppress
the springtime hormone burst. I'll do a yearly Adrenal panel (need to
talk to my vet about timing on this), and if hormones seem to be too
elevate, then start the monthly injections (and get a second job!)

Oh, I'll also be holding my breath and praying to the "adrenal god" to
make this work -or at least put off adrenal disease onset! ;)
