Hi!
Last year I heard that one my 4 years old foster jill have a knot top of her
tail. Owner get her to their vet and vet cut top of tail away. About 3 weeks
later I find same kind knot from this jills brother who live with us. Same
kind of knot just top of tail. Our vet said that this isn't quite acute
problem and she didn't have enough time to operate it. So we leave it and we
have new appointment later.
At last weekend I was judging in small ferret show and I find new knot from
one dark hob, just top of his tail. Later I find out that this hob was our
own foster too. He is 2 years old and he have 25% same blood that those
other ones who have this same knot.

I quess that knot is some kind chordoma. Do someone know, how common those
are to ferrets? And how hereditary it is?

I am very worried about that because I have this same line in my breeding
jills and I know a few other breeding ferrets from this same line too.

Thanks for your answers,
Riina
