I keep thinking of things.....LOL
Cryptococcus has been showing up in the south. It is from the soil as
well, primarily from bird droppings, I believe. I had a little boy
with it, and it took a good while to diagnose it. He eventually died
from it. I know of another ferret in Georgia who contracted it. My
ferret vet said it was the first time he had ever seen it since it's
just moving into the southeast. Since that time, he has also seen a
cat with it.
