But nothing more so far. Apparently, it's pretty rare. I'm not really
surprised, as Ruca's cage mate (Connor, also a Di Bachman/Hagerstown
ferret) died at 6 years of age from anal gland cancer, which I've
found is also quite rare. I would guess there may a genetic link.

We're waiting on pathology so I won't know for sure for several days
yet if this is malignant, but I'm assuming it is. I'm wondering if
there are any possible options (chemo, pred?) for further treatment or
if I should resign myself to the idea that she won't have much time
left. There doesn't appear to any information available on that though.
