Well they never did 30 years ago in the US and here in the UK most owners still don't see things like Adrenal and pancreas problems. Breeding for fancy colours did a lot of damage to a lot of our bloodlines in the late 80s and early 90s. It seems most US ferrets now carry defective genes and our ferrets are going the same way.
