I too have had similar symptoms with a ferret that had a blockage. Of course, that may not always be the case and others may have more info.
I also give my ferrets Vasoline, but I mix in a little Ferretone, they seem to like it ok. If you do suspect a blockage, and nothing gets better...TAKE TO VET. My ferret needed surgery to remove a blockage.
