Sukie, May I ask about this 'dirty fighting'? I have a 2yr old male (Milo)
that I had integration problems with in the beginning. I got he and his
sister from a couple who didn't want ferrets anymore, and he gets along with
her (Maui), but he fights differently than the others, plays really rough,
and often bites the smaller ones, and sometimes the bigger ones in the
forehead and tries to drag them. A couple of times I've caught him with the
smaller girls by the throat. Thankfully, the last he's not done but a
couple of times.

He's also prone to biting the backs of the legs when 'wrestling,' an area
the one he's wrestling with can't stop him from getting to. Is this the
kind of behavior you're referring to? In his worst moods he goes for the
ears, but he's not done much of that in quite some time, though in the
beginning I had to be 'right there' and supervising all play with the other
three.

Also, a couple of times it looked like he was going for the private parts
when playing/wrestling/fighting. He's the only one of my five that do this,
so it's always baffled me.
