Subject: [ferrethealth] Phoebe passed away

Phoebe passed away this afternoon. She didn't want to eat when I fed
her early this morning, I got some food in her despite that, but I went
to feed her again and give her the PediaPred about a little over an
hour ago, she acted comatose. She swallowed her Pred though, and I was
afraid she'd had a sugar crash, so I gave her a small amount of
FerretVite (which is high in sugar) but she still just lay there. I
held her and sang to her for almost an hour. She seemed peaceful, like
she was already somewhere else, and passed away quietly soon after that.
My mother is so beat up over "what we could have done", but honestly I
don't think there was a whole lot left to help a ferret who was as sick
as Phoebe was. Am I wrong to think that?
