To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Hi Donna. I had a ferret with a blockage as well, and she passed away after
surgery. :( But when she vomited, she had food in it, especially in the
beginning. Maui is eating, drinking, and pooping well (discovered just how
well last night lol), so I'm hoping she doesn't have a blockage. I do give
them all ferret lax regularly, maintenance doses, about every two days to
hopefully prevent any blockage problems. But I know they can still have
trouble.

I was going to try the vasoline instead of ferret lax a year or so ago, but
my vet wasn't keen on that idea, so I've not tried it yet. Anyway, if she
doesn't get better, and so far (knock on wood) things seem to look good,
I'll get her in on Monday.

Oh, and also.. she is active, playing, and doesn't seem to be in any pain or
discomfort.
