Subject: [ferrethealth] Bad poop
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

For about a week now our older ferret, Trinny (around 5 years old) has
had bad poops almost all of the time. The best description I can give
is that they are unformed, almost watery, golden in color, grainy, with
some mucuous. Her diet is mostly Totally Ferret, with some soup 3
times a week (soup is ground up kibble, Uncle Jim's, ferretone,
ferretvite, and slippery elm bark powder). This is the same diet that
she and our other ferrets have been on since we've had them, more than
a year now. Other than that, she's acting perfectly fine. Lots of
energy at play time, her weight is good, maybe even a bit high, and she
eats a lot. Our other three ferrets are all having normal poops. I have
never experienced this kind of poop, at least not more than an isolated
incidence, but this has been her regular poop for about a week or so.
Any ideas as to what this could be an indication of?

Thanks,

Jeff
