Hi, Enlarged spleens are somewhat common in ferrets, sometimes for unknown reasons, but I believe that the 2 common ones are lymphoma and some sort of an infection. Hopefully it is not lymphoma. Has this ferret seen the vet yet? The vet could do an aspirate or test for an infection. I had a little female who got JL at 2 yrs, her spleen got very huge within a week... she was scheduled for surgery and it got big so fast that we had to move the date up, so please be aware it can happen quickly. I would have further testing done to try to find out what/if there is a cause.
