Hi Jeff, I know that in my girl Rayna who ended up getting JL, the first sign I noticed with her was that her belly wasnt big immediately, but it felt hard. I compared her to my other ferrets' bellies, and there definately was a difference as Rayna's wasnt kind of squishy like theirs. By the time I had the vet appt a few days later, it had noticably grown in size. Her belly got big in one spot, so you could definately tell that it wasnt a weight gain or anything. But I remember her belly as feeling hardder as being the first sign that something wasnt right.

Having never dealt with one, I'm curious how one would know if a ferret has an enlarged spleen. What would be the signs?
