Why do you avoid fish? The odor? If so, then you might want to add Flax Seed Oil
(remembering to refrigerate it since it spoils rather easily) for more Omega 3 Fatty Acids.
There are some medical problems which can occur with too much of certain marine fishes,
but some fish or some fish oil (not cod liver oil) is wonderful for Omega 3 so can be a very
nutritious part of a ferret's diet.
