I agree that the pumpkin works wonders and does it safely. I regularly
lax all my kids with Vaseline but this time it wasn't accomplishing
its goal so they got 3 days of pumpkin in their soup twice a day, this
produced 3 hairballs and a rubber suction cup from the bath tub mat
(the mat is now in the trash!) I was very happy to see these in the
litter box and I feel sure it avoided a surgery.
I am going to regularly use pumpkin now for a 2-3 day course once a
month to make sure no hairballs get beyond the size they can pass.
