I read of many people feeding animal "parts" to their ferrets, and it
seems that they think this is an adequate, natural diet. Doesn't it
require feeding the ENTIRE animal to achieve maximum nutrition, such
as whole mice, rats, chicks, rabbits, etc?
I think some people have a false sense of security because they are
feeding "meat" but I don't see the point (other than lower carbs) if
they're not feeding whole animals.
I feed my opossums whole prey prior to releasing them, such as rats or
chicks. When I return (I can't watch), there is not a single trace
left. They eat every single bit.
