Yes, I took a ferret from a large group being rescued a few years ago,
who had a very similar growth. It was an osteoma, and it was very
difficult to remove. My vet didn't have the proper instruments, and I
ended up taking Merrick to a vet in another city to have it removed.
I have pictures of him before and after the surgery if anyone is
interested. He looked like Frankenstein afterward, with staples across
the top of his head.
He also developed a similar bony growth on his tail (not a chordoma)
which had to be removed.
