Subject: [ferrethealth] left side paralysis
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

My 5 year old ferret got up and out of her cage this morning with no
problem. About 2 hours later I found her unable to do anything with her
left back leg and looking glassy eyed. We rushed her to the ferret vet
who is still in the process of doing more tests. The vet says it could
be simply an ear infection, a seizure from having another insulinoma
attack (the ferret had surgery for this 17 months ago), or a brain
tumor. The ferret does have an enlarged spleen, which the vet has been
keeping an eye on for future surgery. Anyone had anything like this
happen and give me insight as to what I have to "look forward" to? I'm
having a hard time coping and waiting, so info would help.
