Also be sure to check for the possibility of a thrombosis (thrown clot) to
the leg, and for injury.

Thromboses are secondary to other medical problems which need treatment.
Cardiomyopathy is the most common, but if there is the hypertrophic form
that often needs ultrasound to be found. Some other possible causes of
thromboses can at times be harder to find: lymphoma, kidney disease, etc.
