Hi Everyone,
The International Ferret Congress is happy to announce the upcoming Florida Ferret Forum on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at the Holiday Inn Main Gate East, 5711 W. U.S. Hwy 192, Kissimmee, FL. It will be a fun way for everyone who loves ferrets and lives in Florida and attached states to get to know one another! And Kissimmee is lovely at that time of year...especially indoors in a ballroom at the Holiday Inn.
Registration begins at 9 am, with the first session at 10 am. Confirmed speakers include:
Dr. Deborah Kemmerer-Cottrell on Heartworm, heart and thoracic disease in Ferrets,
Dr. Mitsie Vargas on Ferret Medical Emergencies,
Dr. Brenda Ernest on Hurricane and Disaster Preparedness,
Vikki Caldwell on Stopping Animal Abuse,
Shelley Trulock with a funny hour we can all relate to -Life with Ferrets.
We will have some wonderful raffle and door prizes.
Registration is only $50. It includes all sessions, access to vendors and raffles, lunch and an afternoon snack. Registration and payment is due by April 15th, 2008. If you have never been to one of our events, please give us a try...you won't be sorry :-).
We have a limited number of vendor spaces available. The cost for shelters (non-profit) is $30...Businesses-$45.

Activities begin Friday evening, May 9th at 8pm with an optional and casual Meet and Greet in the hotel lounge. Sunday offers shopping within walking distance at Old Town, which boasts eateries and rides...this is again, optional. We will meet in the hotel lobby at 11am.
The Holiday Inn Main Gate East has made a limited number of rooms available at the special rate of $64 plus tax for single or double rooms from May 8-12, 2008. They will not charge their usual resort tax. You must book by April 9 and make your reservations directly with the hotel by calling 1-800-327-1128. Please mention the reservation code - "IFC" to take advantage of this rate.
Ferrets are allowed in the rooms by special arrangement for a non-refundable fee of $25 per cage.
