Hello all,
Sorry for the long post, but it=B4s a situation with many details. I
have a problem here that I never heard of, so any input from you will
be helpful.
My 7yo male has only one adrenal gland since he was 4yo. Also last
year, so he was 6yo, he had part of his pancreas removed, although he
had never showed low glocose signs (surgery was to remove a big
hairball from his stomach, then pancreas tumor just showed up). Also
on the same surgery some linphonodes were biopsied, revealing that he
has lymphoma too. It happened 6 months ago. By that time, during the
surgery, surgeon looked his remaining adrenal gland and said it was
very fine.
For the last few months, he has had some weird anal discharge. Not
more that once a month, I=B4d say. But since last week he had it twice
already, so I=B4m really concerned now. This discharge is somethimes
almost transparent, sometimes yellow like urin. It is mucous,
although it forms drops like liquid (I only found out it was mucous
when I touched it while cleaning the room, otherwise I would just
have assumed those to be urin drops). It has no smell at all and it
evaporates really fast, leaving almost no stains on hammocks and
blankets. When discharging is happening, the ferret leaves a trace
wherever he walks by, sometimes little drops, sometimes big drops,
like an inch or so. And he gets all his anal and tail hair dirt with
this thing, which seems to bother him a lot, as he licks himself
until clean.
Also, I=B4m not sure if this could be related, I noticed that now he
keeps choosing the corner wher he will defecate and urinate. He goes
to one corner, smells it, than goes to another, smells it, and so on.
Sometimes he does it like 10 times before actually do his business.
Feces are normal (he used to have chronic diarrhea, but since on Pred
for the last 6 months, feces are very good) and urin is OK too, I see
no signs of small drops or traces, anything that I think could
suggest prostate problems.
Any thoughts about what could this be?
