HE'S IS PROBABLY DOMINATING THE LITTLE GUY... BEING THE ALPHA FERRET... I HAD 7 AND MY RAY (REST IN PEACE) DRAGGED EVERYONE.... HE WAS DEFINITLEY THE ALPHA MALE. ALSO, JUST ALWAYS WATCH THEM AS THEY PLAY SOMETIMES THE ALPHA GUY CAN GET TO RUFF, AS LONG AS THERES NO BLOOD DRAWN OR TEAR OF THE SKIN... THEN YOUR ALRIGHT... BUT JUST ALWAYS HAVE THEM SUPERVISED......AND IF YOU DO SEE THE LITTLE GUY BEING DRAGGED NEVER PULL THEM APART JUST OPEN UP HIS MOUTH....

Subject: [ferrethealth] My ferrets are fighting..help!

I just got a new baby ferret yesterday he is about 8 weeks old, our
Sidney is about 6 months old, we thought that it would be nice to get
him a playmate but he is agressive with the kit. he jumps on him and
drags him by the neck. Is there anything we can do to stop this?
Sometimes it looks like the baby(Sir Handel) is playing but more often
that not he is just scared! We would hate to havet o find thae baby a
new home as we have grown attached already but we dont want the little
guy unhappy! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
