I've never heard of a contraindication here, either. I routinely use
Ferretone as a chaser for prednisone also, specifically because there's no
sugar, malt, or corn syrup. In fact, as far as I'm concerned, that's what
makes it the only suitable commercially prepared ferret treat. In any event,
what is the specific reason for the alleged contraindication? Is it the
wheat germ oil or lecithin? I can't imagine what else is in there that would
make this product contraindicated for ferrets with insulinoma.
