Subject: [ferrethealth] Insulinoma male problem
To: <ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com>

I have a male he is about 4-5 yo and about 2.2 lbs. he has had insulinoma just over a year. His pred is 1mg/1ml up until about 2 weeks ago I was giving him 0.4 three times a day. he started crashing and I've been struggling with his dosing. I had got him up to 0.6 x3 and he still crashes. I was a afraid to go higher. One I don't know how high its safe to go. I went to 0.35 x6 and he does fine but he got the runs bad. Saw his vet and she said try 0.9 x2. And she tell me that is his max for his body weight and that x2 is best for pred. I'm confused my understanding is pred drops off after 8 hours ?? Can I go higher than 0.7 x3 and how high can I safely go. He's got a lot of life in him when he's not crashing. Mike and my Fuzzy
