Meerkats are not in the same family as ferrets. I did a little
research, and discovered they are part of the mongoose family.
Mongoose are described as "cat-like" carnivores. Rather than a
recommended ferret formula, which is Esbilac (puppy formula), I think I
might try a kitten formula, such as KMR (kitten milk replacer). But,
I'm really not sure. None of my wildlife rehab books address mongoose
or meerkats.

For quantity when feeding, the general rule of thumb is to divide the
gram weight by two, and then by ten. Feed 5-6 times a day until they
can be started on mush. For example, if the weight is 50g, the amount
each feeding would be 2.5cc.
