Thanks to all the folk who sent messages regarding hand rearing Meerkats, I know of both of the people Phillip Dowset and Seb from jungle talk, as far as I'm aware neither have bred Meerkats or hand reared. I have contacted a local Ferret Rescue, awaiting some feedback. I have also contacted a friend who has kept Meerkats at Chester Zoo in the UK, with all the information I have from the group feedback I will see how things work out over the next few days.
My female Meerkat is now huge, so big she cannot climb up onto her log, I'm surprised she didn't have the litter last night. The incubator is ready and I will go and buy replacer milk today.
