I assume surgery is not an option at this point ... Ask your vet if he can prescribe diazoxide along with the pred to help the blood sugar problem ... could buy him more time. I assume you are already giving him high protein supplemental feedings like "duck soup" ... I have used diazoxide (generic) successfully in a number of insulinoma ferrets, although some people have said it did not help their ferrets. It tastes horrible, even in ferretone, so I mixed it in their duck soup. Best wishes ... Jd
