Subject: [ferrethealth] Heart Disease - Gonzo

A few months ago I posted about my ferret Gonzo and
his diagnosis of heart disease. He's at a specialty
vet clinic today having a cardiac ultrasound and an
ECG. The cardiologist suspects 3rd degree AV block
rather than dilated cardiomyopathy. We'll know later
today. Good thoughts would be much appreciated!
As I was speaking with the dr he told me that he
treated a ferret with av block during his residency
days. They actually inserted a pacemaker and she did
very well. Has anyone ever heard of a ferret with a
pacemaker before?!
