He spoke of many things in our appointment. I think the spleen enlargement
was something many vets have associated with certain other diseases -
insulinoma being one (?) - maybe because it was coincidental? That was the
old school of thought and now there is research suggesting otherwise.
I will do some research on this - I have to now. Lupron was explained to me
as blocking the body's response the the adrenal hormones (products)
therefore treating the symptoms caused by the disease. The vet told me that
the steroid doesn't act in the same way but it has the same outcome. If that
is true, why would it be bad?
I'm doing my best to relay what he told me but I'm sure I'm going to screw
some of it up.
