For what parasites was your ferret being treated?

What were the symptoms?

(For example, was the ferret being treated for possible
ectoparasites when adrenal disease may have been
causing fur loss and even anemia?)

How much is the ferret eating and drinking?
The med can at times cause GI upset and if the ferret
is not eating and drinking enough that will spiral.

What tests have been done? What are the CBC results?
The Chemistry Panel Results? Among other things it sure
would be good to get a blood glucose on this one since
diabetes is among the possibilities. Although rare in
ferrets diabetes does require prompt treatment with the
right meds. See Archives if blood work by vet indicates
this problem to see which types of insulin work best for
ferrets:
http://ferrethealth.org/archive/

More specific info is needed, really, please. Many things
can cause most of the symptoms you list. Thirst can be
caused by the loss of fluid from normal uses (dehydration,
having it go through too fast or back out too fast, being
diabetic, having heart disease causing fluid to pool in the
body rather than be used (ascites or edema), some types
of irritation, etc. The thirst is the sole semi-specific thing
there.

It is not unusual for ferrets of 5 years or older to have some
types of medical conditions going on in the background

I don't know how to finagle URLs that have %20 in them to
get them to work but

can be looked up from the name using Google or with the
