Hello BNL,
Selamectin (Revolution or Stronghold) is a very safe product
for use with ferrets. I use it routinely for ear mites and for
heartworm prevention. It sounds like your ferret is ill from
something besides Selamectin. You might want to check with
the vet school close to you (ie University of Sydney, University of
Melbourne, etc) for a ferret vet recommendation. By the way, there
is a ferret symposium scheduled for the first weekend in May in
Melbourne. Check www.ferretcongress.org.au for more details.
