Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: Dwarf Ferret?
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Took little Rory to the vet and his x-rays show no sign of anything
like arthritis to account for his stiffness. Vet noted several
abnormalities - the short legs, round shout, short body from front to
back, really unusual gate when he walks and a tencansy to lose his
balance.

He also has a very large liver and an enlarged heart. Given these last
2 discoveries, I think we'll do Melatonin & Lupron for adrenal rather
than risk surgery.

He says he could not say for sure if he was a dwarf though. I'm sure
we could probably prove or disprove with tests, but my $$ are better
spent on more urgent issues - like the little baby girl ferret we got
in yesterdar, 14-16 weeks old, hit by car with 2 broken leg bones.
