To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

After your first post (on another list), I sent very detailed information about how to get the
cheapest lupron I know of, possibly as little as 20 a month, depending upon how your vet
does it. This will help save money. It can be overnighted.

Most of the other medications mentioned are not available in the states at this time.

Melatonin implants are generally more effective than the tablets because of the way it is
released. I have had ferrets not respond at all to oral treatment but have amazing results
from implants. The implant takes about 3 seconds and does NOT require anesthesia,
though I have heard of some people using a spot of super glue to stop bleeding at the
injection site. My experience is not unique: do a search. It is not an herb, but is used in a
similar way to many herbs, so that's an easy mistake to make. If you do get the liquid
(much more expensive), be careful that it isn't made with alcohol.

Melatonin and lupron are usually used together. There is no reason to wait to use the
melatonin.

Adrenal is cancer. Cancer is not merely a cosmetic disease. See Sukie's post citing Dr
Williams, or run a search.
