Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: Melatonin toxicity???
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

There WAS a study where toxicity was worried about but the problem turned out to be
due to an injectable anesthesia if my memory is working right.

from 2005:

http://www.melatek.net/images/AEMV_Journal_Dr._Murray.pdf

which repeatedly mentions no toxicity

PubMed finds NO articles matching the search combination

ferret melatonin toxicity

nor does it find any with the substitution of "ferret" with "mustela".

So, on to Google Scholar Search...

Over 100 articles come up in

http://scholar.google.com/

so you may want to skim them and see if they also say no toxicity or if they mention any.

I either give him oral melatonin or the Ferretonin implant. And she *never* ever warned
me of any toxicities. However, now she is saying otherwise...
