My friend who is a vet tech brought over a melatonin implant and gave
it to one of my fosters here at my house. The needle is HUGE!! Like a
12 gauge I believe. When we gave her the injection we had her licking
ferretone out of a bowl. She made a slight jerk when the needle was
injected we held her down but kept licking the tone. Since the needle
is so big we had to pinch the skin together for a bit to get it to
close and stop bleeding. Since the ferrets skin is so tough just make
sure they puch it in hard enough but not hard enough to puncture the
lungs.
