Yes, it is a 12 gauge needle. When implanting the capsule, you need to
lift the scruff and insert the needle parallel with the body. By
giving the treat on the countertop or table top (have the ferret
standing on a blanket so it has safe footing and can relax) the ferret
will have it's head lowered, so you have very little chance of nicking
the muscle layer. For me, it's worse thinking about doing it than
actually doing it once I stop procrastinating!
