Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: Dark areas forming on face
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

I took Teddy in for a skin scraping today. My vet started to scrape
the area and stopped. He didn't feel we were going to learn anything
from it. He feels it is either blackheads or scabs.

Teddy must be around 2-3 years old, was neutered around December
of '07, and doesn't show typical signs of adrenal disease although I
did notice today the fur on the tops of his feet has thinned.

So, my next question is, if a ferret develops adrenal disease, can the
blackheads form on the face instead of the tail? I have never seen this, but has anyone else?
Thanks,
Julie
