Jonny,
It is impossible to say with complete assurance that the problem IS
the food, but it COULD BE the food.
There are multiple possible causes. You say DARK green and you
mention weight loss so i really want you to make a vet appointment.
Sometimes a ferret with upper GI bleeding will have dark green rather
than black feces.
Weight loss can have a range of causes.
Also be careful to avoid the dehydration that can go with diarrhea.
It not only decreases appetite but it carries its own health burdens.
Are the ferret's gums tacky? Less accurate: when the pinch the skin
on the scruff does it stay tented too long?
Definitely time that this ferret should be getting to the ferret vet!
Sukie (not a vet)
