Based on this statement, I would be very concerned about a blockage
of some sort. I believe an immediate vet visit is in order.
In addition to a potential blockage, significant weight loss can
quickly become life-threatening. Diarrhea can cause dehydration
very quickly. Get him to a vet!
When switching foods, always mix the new with the old and slowly
transition, adding more of the new and less of the old every few
days. It may take several weeks (or months) to totally change.
Don't do it abruptly.
