Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: removal of implant

I am fostering her from a ferret shelter so we're not exactly how
old she but we think she's probably about 5. I've had her since
January 2007 and it wasn't long after getting her that I took her BG
and found it to be 26! She is on 8 drops (6 drops=.25ml) of Azium 2x
day for her insulinoma and her BG has been kept well within the
normal range since she's been on it.

She isn't going to have surgery for her insulinoma and other than
that and her extreme hairloss she really does not have any other
health problems.

She did have a lot of Nutrical just to try and get something in her
until I could get her up to the emergency clinic. I wouldn't think
it would spike her glucose level that high.

She also had sub-q at her primary vet's because she was refusing to
even drink on her own.

I don't know if I mentioned this in the first post but this morning
her BG is down to 300 and she did drink a little last night.
