Subject: [ferrethealth] Ferretonin Implant

Hi,

Snickers has gotten her ferretonin implant on this past Thursday, and she is doing really
well. I think she has actually gotten softer fur since then. I have since given all of the
ferrets a bath, and they are all softer and cleaner, but I really think Snickers is the softest,
which is not a bad thing. So I am hoping the get Champ the ferretonin implant also when
he goes to his dental appointment. Champ and Snickers were diagnosed in December with
Adrenal Disease, and they have both been getting the oral Meletonin since then (2 ml every
night mixed with either ferretone, nutrical, or ferretvite.) So Champ is still on the oral
meletonin, while Snickers isn't (because of her implant). So I was wondering, does the
implant help with the fur to make it softer as well as grow in her new coat? Also, the vet
took blood samples "as a precaution". I was wondering what he would need those results
for, as this was the most expensive vet visit so far.
