So in other words the vet unfortunately didn't get it all. Sometimes
these cancers can produce little tentacle's that will grow outward into
the healthy tissue which in this case the vet was unable to see it. I
have heard of several people trying chemotherapy on their ferrets which
really didn't help and made the ferrets last moments on earth
horrible. No, I am not familiar with this particular kind of cancer
but I have a friend who has a ferret with something like this and the
vet is just taking one day and a time with her. If a tumor shows up
he'll remove it. The cancer that this ferret has is aggressive and
fast growing. He doesn't want to put the ferret through a lot so if
she does have more appear a decision will be made with the ferret in
mind. Good luck with your baby. Marley will be in our prayers.
Hopefully someone else will know more about this kind of cancer.
