Subject: [ferrethealth] pecan shell pellets safe?

The rez feed store has wood stove pellets made of crushed, pressed
pecan shells. $4.80 for 80 pounds, very cheap, especially for out of
season. There's no info on the bag about how it's processed. Does
anyone know whether these are safe? (or absorbant?)
